Somewhere along the line, straws became the norm around here. At first I used them for special occasions, then I got tired of guarding them from regular, "non-special" occasions and stopped buying them because it was too stressful, and then I decided to buy them and keep them in a canister on the counter, to be used whenever. Such is the evolution of parenthood. But I can get 100 straws at the store for less than a dollar. That's a good deal for a little something fun.
